Probate

When a person passes away leaving behind property titled solely in the decedent’s name, some form of probate proceeding will likely be required. Probate is the process of transferring the Decedent’s property under the supervision of the court to the Decedent’s beneficiaries (under a valid will) or heirs at law (if the Decedent died without a will).  There are different forms of probate and our office guide you through the probate process in both Kansas and Oklahoma.
