Transfer on Death Deeds

Most states provide you the option of naming a beneficiary to receive your real estate at your death. This is an inexpensive and quick way to transfer your real estate. This option is almost always preferable to just naming a child on your deed as a joint owner. Transfer on Death (TOD) deeds protect your real estate from a child that may find him or herself going through a divorce, bankruptcy or lawsuit. TOD deeds also preserve tax advantages to your beneficiaries in the event your beneficiary sells the real estate. We can assist you with preparing TOD deeds in both Kansas and Oklahoma.
